A person’s life can have an unstoppable inertia that they are powerless to resist.
Like a snowball rolling out of control down a mountainside, it’s existence so heavily dependant upon its past, that the only way to stop it is with a larger more destructive force.
Something that is capable of causing such upset that to resist it is to cause complete personal annihilation.

What is it that creates the inertia? (It could of course be the likes of drug or alcohol addiction, but I shall concentrate on the inertia of a positive life position, rather than a negative one.)

Is it obligation of professional / domestic / social position?
Or the pressure of expectation from others?
Is it in ‘keeping up appearances’?
Is it due to duty to ones family and your role of giving them what they want from life?
